Students are to read the 'Learning Target' and then write their homework in their planners every day. Please ask them about the target each evening as it should spark great conversation. It gives your child an opportunity to teach you. If they struggle explaining the target, they should first try rereading the lesson, then use the lesson summaries, or possibly look over in-class activities/notes. If they are still struggling, they should come see me before class the very next day.
Your child should be bringing home at least 2 assignments per week. Students can also use their lesson summaries to help complete classwork/homework. All homework assignments and daily learning targets can be found by clicking on "assignments" up above.
I encourage all students to revisit and make corrections to any of their assignments. I accept redos for any assignment and highly encourage if a student earns a 69% or below. I will write "Redo" on the assignment if it falls below this percentage (D or F). Students must wait at least 24 hours and complete the ♻🌎 ᖇEᗪO ᖇEQᑌEST Form so that it gives the student time to reflect on what they missed and an opportunity make corrections. The ♻🌎 ᖇEᗪO ᖇEQᑌEST Form can be found in their Google Classroom under "✰ 𝕀𝕞𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕒𝕟𝕥 ℝ𝕖𝕤𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕔𝕖𝕤 ✰." Please make sure that the assignment is 100% correct before turning back in to be regraded. Students should use their textbook, study guide, lesson summaries, and/or their folder activities to find their answers. ALL REDO ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE THE TEST IN ORDER TO EARN CREDIT BACK up to a 90%.
If you see an "Late" by any of their assignments on Skyward, it means it was turned in late and automatically receives a 10% deduction. There is no extra credit in my class, so homework/classwork should be taken seriously as it accounts for 40% of their final grade. Students are to use their textbook and/or Lesson Summaries for EVERY assignment and are required to include page numbers where they found their answers. ALL LATE ASSIGNMENTS MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE THE TEST IN ORDER TO EARN CREDIT. Click here to see specific grading procedures.
It is imperative that students study for tests and complete all of their assignments to the best of their ability.
